SHIPBUILDING
Next Generation Shipyards has developed its own line of workboats for the professional maritime sector. The distinctive Next Generation vessels are built to certified standards and meet all current requirements for professional use. Our in-house developed concept is adaptable to specific operational needs. There is a Next Generation vessel for every application and every type of waterway — from water taxis and crew tenders to specialised survey vessels.
In addition, several of our designs are also suitable for conversion into recreational vessels.
SHIPREPAIR
Next Generation Shiprepair provides comprehensive service and maintenance for all types of vessels. Our Shiprepair division is focused on resolving issues quickly — on location whenever possible. In addition to regular and preventative maintenance, we can carry out inspections and provide expert advice. For larger maintenance projects, we offer spacious halls and outdoor facilities at the outer harbour of Lauwersoog.
Our aim is to relieve our clients of all concerns by combining broad expertise with flexible service, both within the Netherlands and abroad.
SHIPLIFT
Next Generation Shiplift operates at the outer harbour of Lauwersoog, lifting vessels out of the water for service and maintenance.
The lift is one of the largest in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Northern Germany, with the capacity to haul out vessels of up to 220 tonnes.Next Generation Shiplift carries out lifting and storage operations for both Next Generation Shipyards and the Technical Service of the fisheries cooperative C.I.V., both located at the outer harbour of Lauwersoog.
The surrounding yard offers ample space and facilities for repair and maintenance, storage, and loading and unloading activities.
SHIPENGINEERING
Next Generation Shipyards has its own dedicated engineering department, staffed by highly trained marine engineers.
Next Generation Shipengineering provides detailed construction drawings, calculations, and technical schematics on request — including designs for propeller shafts, steering systems, and other onboard installations.
It is also possible to outsource complete construction supervision to our team.
Our engineers have in-depth knowledge of various classification societies and the applicable regulatory standards.
